Kindergarten has been having special guests come in this month to talk about different careers!

Preschool

From sensory activites to building blocks and hugs, our preschoolers are filled with love.

Kindergarten

This week in Kindergarten we started building our houses for the 3 little picks. Students had to use the materials given to them (brick, sticks, or straw) to build a house strong enough to keep the big bad wolf from blowing it down. They had to think about the structure and function of the house as they were building it. Students are building these houses only after designing them for their intended purpose. Once the students have finished, the big bad wolf (puppet on a mini leaf blower) will show up to try and blow their house down. The students really seemed to enjoy this STEM project.

1st Grade

First grade had a special guest come in to teach them about Hanukkah traditions. They learned how to play dreidel and got to bring their very own home!

2nd Grade

Second graders are BRIGHT readers!!!

3rd Grade

Third graders are enjoying the season- bright lights and warm days!

4th Grade

Fourth graders worked on energy in collisions. We used a model with a passenger (egg) to show what happens with energy in a collision where there is no restraint system of any kind. Students began to build their own carts so that they can design restraint systems for their eggs. The objective will be to protect the egg in a collision.

5th Grade

Fifth grade Wildcats studied the Age of Exploration, so naturally they had their own treasure hunt!
