Walkathon Prize: Lunch at Casa Del Sol!

Third Grade

Students are loving the writing process. We have been focusing on realistic fiction. Students first brainstormed ideas of problems that could happen in the real world and ways to solve that problem. Then they drew a storyboard to sketch out the story across several pages. Next, they met with a partner to work on oral storytelling. Partners gave ideas on ways to make the story more realistic. After that, they began drafting out their story in their notebook- skipping lines so they can go back in to add more details. After they had their story written in detail – they met with a partner to revise and edit. Finally, they will publish their work on Google Docs- they have been learning the basics of typing and how to insert and move images. After everyone is finished we will have a celebration and share our work together!
