6th Grade Academy had the opportunity this week to travel to the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington to see the Wizard of Oz! They also got to have lunch together in Bloomington to talk about their experience in seeing the show.

7th grade worked this week to make rubbings of plants to create “carbon film” fossils. They have been using a variety of creative methods to better understand how fossils are formed and what they look like over time.

Honors Art has been working on self-portraits. Students learned about drawing facial features and practiced proportions. Then they discussed how value is seen in an art work and how to find and create it in their own work.
