Week of September 15, 2025
Preschool
Preschool continued their study of trees this week! We enjoyed the beautiful weather, talked about the leaves changing colors, and found some toys made from trees!




Kindergarten
Kindergarten students used their senses to explore an apple along with our shared text in Wonders.

First Grade
Monday was International Dot Day. Students in first grade listened to the story and then created their own dots. They said they really enjoyed making their own dots.



First graders LOVE reading!




Second Grade
Second grade has worked hard this week. We have practiced spelling words, started a new unit in math, and introduced some fun listening centers during our reading time!



Third Grade
Third graders practicing solving subtraction problems on LCD tablets- just to make math a little more fun!



Fourth Grade
Van Buren fourth grade elementary students learning about the effects of gravity on the body. Can you believe Mr. Pagnard only weighs 55 pounds on the moon!




Fifth Grade
Fifth graders got to choose a state to research and then practice their presentation skills by presenting a slide show to their peers. We learned some interesting facts about our country!



STEM
3rd graders measuring leg length to decide which dinosaur they will race.
3rd graders racing dinosaurs using fossil footprints models.
5th graders learning about decomposers and worms by observing worms and making discoveries about them.
STEM Student of the Week: Dakota Chilton
