Basketball season has begun at BCMS! The boys started their season with a home opener this past week, with both the 7th and 8th grade teams winning their games!

7th grade made it to the long-awaited glazing portion of their clay coaster project! This is the final touch in a two-week-long project that they have worked so hard to complete.

6th-grade Social Studies is learning about Mayan history and culture. During this process, they studied the creation of the Mayan Calendar and its importance in understanding the keeping of time. They were then tasked with using air-dry clay to create some of the symbols found on the Mayan Calendar.

Next week, they will use paint to cover their symbols using popular colors of the Mayan time period.
