Kindergarten

Kindergarten has begun our study of Celebrations of Light. We have learned about Dawali and Hanukkah, and have tasted Barfi and Latkes.

First Grade

First grade STEM lesson to go along with the book “Balloons Over Broadway.” Students had to try to create a balloon using only a small paper bag, a popsicle stick, a straw, and tape. Such a fun way to work on problem solving and perseverance.

This week in first grade we have been studying maps in Language and Social studies. The students got to make their own map of their rooms. They did a great job. Also we played a math game with cards. The students got into groups and had a great time reviewing addition and subtraction with a fun game.

Second Grade

Second graders worked on reading a passage and identifying all of the long i words in the passage.

Third Grade

Third graders getting into the holiday spirit by decorating the classroom tree.
