Student of the Month:

K: Henry Hilligoss has grown tremendously since the start of the year. He works so hard and always has a positive attitude. He loves to participate and he’s an amazing helper. He also has the biggest heart and is a friend to all. 1st:  Lincoln Smith is a kind and caring friend and a great helper! Lincoln works hard each and every day to grow as a learner. He has a big heart and never gives up, even when things get tough! 2nd: Levi Hill-Weisheit has made significant improvements in our classroom. We love his curiosity and his knowledge about things he loves! 3rd: Emerson Hawley has many hirable behaviors.  She is a great listener, focused, responsible, follows directions, works well with others, and is dependable. 4th: Willa Quintero strives to do her best every single day. She is a kind leader who encourages others and makes each of us want to be the best we can be! 5th: Bennett Wagler has shown that, despite an injury and having to go to  PT several times a week, he is able to handle and deal with his recuperation and school very well. Bennett is a pleasure to have in class, he is always very positive, smiling, and helpful. He participates in class and is a role model to his peers in taking ownership of his own learning. Bennett’s teachers appreciate his work ethic and positivity!

We are working on identifying nonfiction text features and then explaining how these features helped them to better understand the text. We also had a visit from Mrs. Sechler this week and she told us stories.
