Week of December 8, 2025

This week we are continuing our study of Blocks, Building, and Winter. Building materials, types of buildings, and who creates them and lives in them are all topics of conversation. We’re also enjoying making crafts and preparing for the holidays!

First graders worked on giving quality compliments with Ms. Forest this week.

Ms. Austin’s first grade class joined our class for a calm reading time and a s’more snack. Students dressed in comfy clothes and brought a stuffy to enjoy some quiet reading time. Ms. Austin also read “Snowmen at Night” using sound effects from the Novel Effect app, which all the students enjoyed.

Second grade and Preschool collaborated to create Christmas cards for our local senior living facility. The had so much fun, and enjoyed the feeling of community.

Third graders had so much fun going with the 4th and 5th graders to watch Elf at the Yes Cinema.

Fourth Grade Social Studies students will present a historical figure from their home state of Indiana at our Living Wax Museum next week.

3-5th grade had an amazing time at YES Cinema and the Commons playground! We are so proud of the good behavior they demonstrated!

3rd graders tested their improved gliders with the center of gravity now in place.
