Band Students Participate in Honor Band
On the weekend before Thanksgiving Break, we had several students participate in the Indiana Bandmasters Association All-District Honor Band. The specific band that our students were a part of was at Bedford North Lawrence High School.
As always, these students represented our band and BCHS very well.
Students who participated:
Kamrin Surface
Alayna Jacobus
Jayce Riggle
Sawyer Kelp
Trevor Shields
Cadence Cox
Lily Haza
Levi Phillips
Lewellen
Students in Mrs. Lewellen’s US History class participated in a trench warfare simulation today. After learning about the different technological advancement of World War I, students took to the trenches to write letters home to their families about life in the trenches. As an added bonus, students were assigned the name and biography of an actual soldier from Brown County who fought and died in WWI. They had to include personal details of that soldier in their letters.
Eagle Basketball Seasons Have Tipped Off
The boys and girls basketball teams have begun their season. Many games are still ahead for these athletes. Come out to Larry C. Banks Gymnasium to support our athletes!
Teachers vs Police Game Supports a Great Cause
BCS teachers and local police battled it out in the BCHS gym on Tuesday, December 10th. This event is a community event that helps to raise funds for the Shop-With-a-Cop program that supports local families with providing a great holiday for local kids. The cops got came out victorious over the teachers in this year’s battle.
