Week of March 2, 2026

This week during recess, Kindergarten students conducted an impromptu experiment in magnetic adhesion, attraction, and gravity as they raced magnetile rockets on the whiteboard.

First graders happily practiced their spelling words outside while enjoying the nice weather. Chase was a treasure chest winner for the Book Blast.

Second graders are being creative using our STEM soft starts.

Third graders learning about online safety and consequences in a convocation with our SRO and the Brown County Probation Department.

The VBE 4th grade students are working hard to  bringing history to life. Students are busy adding final touches to their Wax Museum projects. The projects will be displayed for others to see on March 11.

5th grade students had the opportunity to speak with our SRO officer about staying safe!

4th graders working with model lava to discover which type of lava exploding volcanoes have and which type of lava genty erupting volcanoes have.

5th graders had their invention convention this past week. There were several great ideas. We are so proud of the hard working 5th graders here at Van Buren.

STEM Student of the Week: Lily Eaton

Lily works hard to solve problems and to discover answers. It is normal to see her actively involved in projects, raising her hand to share, following classroom expectations, and really seeking to find the best possible answers to problems. Congratulations Lily on all your hard work.
