Cross Country Regionals

Five BCXC runners advanced to and ran in the Evansville Cross Country Regional last Saturday, October 26th. Qualifying runners were (listed as they appear in the picture left to right:

Kai Koester, Aden Skaggs, Nora Mofield, Sadie Hiatt, and Izzy Miller.

BCHS History Club Visits Corydon, Indiana

The BCHS History Club’s took a field trip to Corydon last week!

Students explored the Indiana Caverns where they observed some amazing geologic wonders and even some ice age bones!

They also visited the Civil War battlefield site of the Battle of Corydon, where they got a lesson on the battle. This battle was the only one in Indiana and one of only two battles in the North – the other one being Gettysburg!

Students Contribute to Discussion of Future Education Pathways

This week, Brown County High School students Elsie Lambert and Chloe Sawyer, along with BCHS alum Joey Denison, BCHS teacher Mr. Chris Townsend, BCHS Principal Mr. Steve Sherohman, and BCS Superintendent Ms. Emily Tracy, had the opportunity to share their voices on enhancing opportunities during and after high school with The Academy of Arts and Sciences and its dedicated commission. Alongside students from across the state, they contributed their perspectives on shaping future pathways. Hearing directly from students is essential to understanding and building educational experiences that truly prepare them for life beyond high school.
