Welcome, November!
Another action packed week at BCMS, here’s a look at projects and activities happening at the middle school!
7th grade students in Tech Engineering worked to take measurements from parts on a worksheet, and given the proper ratio, inputted the data into a computer program to create a 3D model of the parts.
8th grade students in gym class played the Mr. Harmon invented game of Mat Ball. It is a play off of kickball and is always a high energy game!
Students in Mr. Webb’s 7th grade Computer Science class got the opportunity to demonstrate their app design to their classmates. They were given the option to create apps that either helped decide what you’d eat for take out, what you’d eat for the school lunch that day, or what clothes you’d wear to the school dance. Students then gave feedback on what parts of the app worked and what other parts could be more user friendly.
In 6th grade Language Arts students worked on plotting their novel ideas for national novel writing month. Mrs. Stanley says that the ideas for novels keep getting better and more and more exciting!
Honors 7th Grade math took time to help take the recycling to the Brown County Recycling Center, they complete this task almost every Friday as a way to help out BCMS!
Game Club meets on Wednesday at BCMS and gives students the chance to hang out and play a variety of games each week. This week involved games without a computer and students were able to work on puzzles and play boards games with each other!
